Some people really…
Yes sirrrr, I won something again! πππ So it’s just about right that I update my post last year about winning an actual contest. On that post, I didn’t include the educational related contests… but now that I’ve mentioned it, I should have! I wasn’t on a losing streak in high school after all! But then again, I just won “bragging rights” and I don’t like bragging at all, eh. I still prefer getting a free cake from the cake raffle though, nom nom! ππ°.
I know I haven’t been blogging for several months (yeah, last post was April of this year! Tsk!) because of the same reason for my hiatusπ. And this same reason is also why I won something again last June 28, 2014, woohoo (there’s gonna be a lot of silent woohoo while I’m writing this post π).
I went to a wedding expo held at SM Mall of Asia that was organized by Themes & Motifs with my college friend who is also my soon-to-be bridesmaid.
Every hour, the host of the event would announce a name of a couple registered on that day and they can win something from that raffle. I remember that me and my friend were quite exhausted already at 2PM-ish but I heard that there will be another raffle draw at 3:00PM and my gut instinct told me to wait a little longer. I was trying on some platinum wedding bands to match my engagement ring when a vaguely familiar last name was announced before my name. Oookay, the emcee mispronounced my fiancΓ©’s last name (But really now!? Cringe!). I was a bit confused. Did I really win a hotel accommodation or was that another couple with a girl who has exactly the same name as mine? My friend said, “you won!”. Woohoo! My fiance and I actually did! β€οΈπ«
I wasn’t familiar with the hotel but beggars can’t be choosers, right?! It’s good until December 31, 2014 and it’s for one night only. My soon-to-be hubby wouldn’t be able to spend Christmas with me so my officemates suggested to use the hotel room for my bridal shower. So I did, with a sexy military theme!
Lotto, I’m just waiting! βοΈβοΈβοΈβοΈβοΈ
