I Know What You Did Last Summer

As we bid adieu to September, I will try to give a gist of what happened to my summer-long hiatus on this blog. I am not going to spill everything (no TMI!), but I will mention here anything that I can think of that is beauty-related and blog-worthy to post.

Let me start with my firsts this summer…

First PINCHme Box

What is PINCHme? According to their website, what you do is “answer a series of questions about your household and shopping habits in the Member Profile. We’ll learn what you like and offer samples just for you.” They are free of charge, no shipping and handling fee and all you need to do is answer the questionnaire on their website set for each sample that you received. I’m sorry if my picture is quite an odd combination (don’t worry, the cheese isn’t a revolutionary facial scrub 😅). Like what I got, you can get a different range of products from beauty-related to food, two things I like 😆.

First Influenster VoxBox

Pictures I posted on my instagram ladyecheboreche for my “To Do List”

My first reaction when I got my I Do VoxBox was, “I do! I do love it!”. Who wouldn’t?!

So what is Influenster? On their website, it is “a community of over 1.5 million social savvy shoppers that: Stay on top of the latest product news & expert tips. Review products, share honest opinions with brands and the community. Test products for free based on social media influence.”

So like PINCHme, you will get to answer surveys for them to determine if you will be eligible for a campaign. For the “I Do VoxBox”, I guess the reason I got qualified was because I would go to a wedding (last August) when I got the survey around June or July. The VoxBox is free of charge as it is complimentary for testing purposes and you will have a fun “To Do List” to earn “badges”. They also have numerous contests that you can participate. I actually won something, ehem.

I love everything in my I Do VoxBox but two full-sized makeup products!!! Happiness, right?!

Covergirl Outlast Stay Luminous in Buff Beige, full size. At Ulta, it costs $12.99.
CoverGirl .12oz Outlast Longwear + Moisture Lipstick 920 Red Revenge, full size. At Target, it retails at $6.99.

You can get your own goodies at https://www.influenster.com

Exciting summer for my firsts!

Now on the second part of this post, I’ll just show every beauty-related products I bought at Walmart, Target, K-mart, Trader Joe’s, Sephora, Ulta and Nordstrom.

Except for makeup. They deserve a different post. 😅

For the Hair…

For the Nails…

For the Face…

For the Body…

…and a Gucci perfume deluxe sample from Sephora

On my next post, it will all be about my summer makeup haul! 😅💄😜

Birthday Gift Showdown: Sephora vs. Ulta

If it’s your birthday month and you are at least a Beauty Insider for Sephora and Ultamate Rewards member for Ulta, then go to your nearest stores or to their websites to get your birthday gift!

This year, here’s the birthday gift for Sephora:

For Ulta, here’s what I got:

By the way, I placed the quarter for size comparison. 😉

It’s My Birthday!!!

I am more addicted to Hello Kitty than to make-up because I have been loving her since I was a kid! So my sweet husband got this on my birthday. 😘🎂

Unboxing: Target Beauty Box

I decided to make an iMovie on my phone!

A first in so many ways! First Target Beauty Box! First iMovie! First YouTube video!

I really like the Bollywood theme too because it is sooo colorful and pretty!

Please check it out by clicking this YouTube link or by searching for Lady Echeboreche. 😍

Thanks!

You Win Some, Winsome (The Return)

I am thankful to be so blessed!

If you haven’t read this and that, then you have to, hehehe. These are my previous posts where I announced that I won something.

Guess what? I won again!

Yipee!

So for those who don’t know what Influenster is, let me try to explain it.

By signing up to their website (you can go there thru my referral link) you will get surveys on your email or on their app. Based on your answers, they will determine if you are qualified for an upcoming campaign. If you are qualified, you will get free, yup, FREE or COMPLIMENTARY products. Just blog, tweet or basically post anything on your social media accounts about the products that you have received and your corresponding product reviews. Don’t forget the disclaimer that the “product was complimentary for testing purposes”.

They also have several contests that you can join to win sweeeeet stuff like what I did. I was aiming for the Keurig really, a lot of the Influensters got one, but a megabox is still awesome!

Sweet sweet prizes!!!

Fun isn’t it! I can’t wait to get my paws on my prize! 🐾

Unboxing: September 2015 Ipsy Glam Bag

Hi friends! I am soooooo, raise to the nth power, sorry that I haven’t been blogging for the past 3 months. I have been traveling lately (i.e. Las Vegas, Texas, New Jersey and New York) so that is my lame excuse. Despite of it all, my heart fluttered like the butterfly wings when I saw that my site still gets a lot of visitors from July to August where I absolutely didn’t post a thing! Thank you dear online visitors… from the bottom of my dear heart. ❤️

So let’s go back to business, shall we…

I stopped subscribing to Ipsy, Birchbox and Boxycharm because I got overwhelmed with the sample or deluxe-sized products that I have. But since September is my birthday month (ehem, happy birthday to me on the 23rd 🎂🎈🎉), I decided to subscribe again to Ipsy. Another justification is that the sample products I got from these subscription boxes came in handy when I was traveling. 😅

Still $10 a month, the theme of Ipsy for September 2015 is “Face Fashion”, which is described as “smokier, deeper, richer” as we all transition from summer to fall.

I haven’t seen rollers used as curlers for a while 👍🏼

One of the reasons why I chose Ipsy was because I like their cute cosmetic pouches. I am not a fan of brown though so I am a little disappointed this month.
 So what’s inside?

NYX Cosmetics Ipsy Eyeshadow Trio is an exclusively designed palette for Ipsy. It is a regular sized product at 3 grams. At the NYX website, their eyeshadow trio palette (Love In Rio) is priced at $3.

Formula X Nail Color in Ignite is a sample size at 0.13 oz. At Sephora, the 0.4 oz. full-sized Formula X Nail Polish sells at $10.50 each.

I haven’t tried any Formula X before so I was excited when it was revealed that I’ll be getting one. But due to the lack of my nail application skills, I think this teeny weeny bit will only be enough for my thumb.😅

Liptini Special Edition Lipstick in Starlet Cocktail is a regular sized product at 0.9 oz. It claims to be cruelty-free and vegan. At the ‘Tini Beauty website, this sells for $18.

I haven’t opened it yet but the company’s website described it as “velvety, buildable long-wearing lipstick in vibrant rich berry” that can be used for cheeks too. I love deep colored lipstick!

Bayberry Naturals Rosehip & Hibiscus Moisturizer is a facial lotion that claims to be 100% vegan that is free of sulfates, parabens, phtalates and artificial fragrances and dyes. It is a sample sized product at 0.5 fl. oz. The regular size of this one is at 4.6 fl. oz. and can be bought for $17.95 at Bayberry Naturals website.

Eau Thermale Avène Soothing Moisture Mask is described as a “paraben-free, hypoallergenic, non-comedogenic, vegan and gluten-free” facial mask. It is a sample that weighs 0.16 fl.oz. At drugstore.com, you can buy the Avene Soothing Mask for $26 at 1.69 fl.oz.

My favorite for this month will be the full-sized products. The prices of the NYX Eyeshadow Trio and the Liptini lipstick have more than paid the $10 cost of this bag. However, I was slightly disappointed with the size of the Formula X nail polish and the pouch itself.

I just cancelled my subscription again for October and November and will re-subscribed on December.

Do you think I made the right choice in cancelling my subscription?
